Millennials Most Want to Work For These 10 Companies

Ypulse, a youth marketing and Millennial research firm, recently asked 18-35-year-olds, "If you could work for any company in the world, what company would you most like to work for?" Here's what they found.

Top 10 Preferred Employers of Millennials
  1. Google
  2. Apple
  3. Amazon
  4. Microsoft
  5. Disney
  6. School/University
  7. My own company
  8. Nike
  9. U.S. Government
  10. Hospital

For the first time in years, there is an uptick in the number of U.S. college graduates wanting to work for large companies, with a 37 percent increase over last year. And over half of Millennials would rather work at a large established organization with many employees than a small start-up-like company with few employees.

While many Millennials see value in stable and safe jobs with big brands and companies, there is still a strong desire to work for themselves as shown in the "My own company" response.

Google, Amazon, Disney, Microsoft, Nike, and Apple also made the top ten brands Millennials say they'd be proudest to work for list. Its clear Millennials are gravitating to the companies that have an impact in their daily lives.

Generation Z's Top 25 Preferred Employers is also dominated by brands that impact their daily lives, such as Instagram, BuzzFeed, Netflix, and Chick-fil-A. Hospital, Google, Amazon, Disney, Apple, U.S. Government, Microsoft, and Nike are the companies that showed up on both top employer lists for Millennials and Generation Z.
